Recognized and respected
One of the benefits of long experience is professional recognition. After two decades practicing financial institutions law in Boston, I know many of the regulators and they know me. While we do not always agree, we have always found a way to work through even the toughest situations maintaining a relationship of mutual courtesy and respect.
I received a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center where I served as a member of the Barristers Council (Moot Court Board),
Senior Editor of the Georgetown Law Weekly and a student editor at The Tax Lawyer.

While attending law school, I worked as a Law Clerk in the Legal Advisory Services Division (LASD) of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). I continue to be an active member of the OCC Law Department Alumni Association.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) degreee from Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, majoring in International Economic Affairs with a concentration in Corporate Finance.
During college, I worked as a Congressional Intern in the office of the late Senator William Proxmire (D-Wisconsin), then-Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. For a year, I attended the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

I continue to serve as an active member of the Alumni Admissions Committees of Georgetown University's law and undergraduate schools.
Peer Recognition
I have achieved an A/V (highest/preeminent) professional rating in Martindale-Hubble™ and have frequently been recognized in Best Lawyers™ and Boston Super Lawyers™ and other selective lawyer listings in the areas of banking and financial services regulatory law.
Bar Admissions
I am admitted to practice in the courts of New York and Massachusetts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Eighth and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Massachusetts.
